Vintage Finds - Jewelery

I recently acquired a few vintage costume jewellery from the charity shops. I love great bargains for lovely pieces that are unique and aren't from the High Street. Don't get me wrong I love the affordability and ease of High Street but nothing beats the feeling that you are wearing something that chances are that no one else has.

A brooch - Art Nouveau style? 

The picture is quite bad but it is sort of brass looking with dark shading that makes it look very antiquey.

I have decided to use as an embellishment for a navy handbag that I bought at a Vintage shop a while back. I didn't use the bag much before because I thought it needed something to break it up and add more interest. It's still a working progress I think.

A necklace - Art Deco Style?

This I was admiring but the shop assistants seemed to be too. I didn't end up purchasing it as I was going a bit vintage crazy and thought I should cool off. My friend actually got it for me as a surprise :)

She utilises the scenery and props around her to accentuate and bring impact to the model that she photographs. From amazing desert backdrops to tantalizing blue skies and seemingly untouched beaches. You not only focus on the model and the clothing but you devour the image as a whole. Here are a few of my favourite images.

Elie Saab Couture Spring 2011

Elie Saab has done it again. Yet another amazing collection. Remember I posted about the fall collection last year? I wish I could have the luxury to wear some of these feminine and empowering dresses out to an occasion. Well lets see who would be the first of the celebs that would be wearing one of these dresses to their next red carpet event!

Fashiolista and Win a trip for 2 to New York

I have just joined the Fashiolista website and so far I love it! The concept of it is just so unique. The site allows you to add any item to the 'I love it' list on your Fashiolista profile. The good thing is that you can at any point go back to the original website to purchase these 'loved' items. I see so many items I love online and this will be a good way for me to keep track.
